Welcome to ICSBE 2024
The 15th International Conference on Sustainable Built Environment 2024 (ICSBE) or The Kandy Conference will be held at Earls Regency Hotel, Kandy, Sri Lanka, as the next in line of a highly successful series of conferences held since December 2010 collaborations with local and worldwide universities and research institutions. The Conference will run over three days and features presentations by authors of all accepted papers and keynote lecturers. The conference general and plenary sessions will be accompanied by workshops and technical sessions as well. The Kandy Conference is mainly aiming for exchanging of ideas, sharing of knowledge, and dissemination of information among academics, professionals, and policymakers on the management of the built environment all over the world.

Paper Publishing
The selected, leading papers of the ICSBE 2024 conference will be published by Springer Nature in an e-proceeding on Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering. The approximate publication time is February 2025. The email addresses of corresponding authors will be published in the chapters and be used by Springer to provide a personal My Springer account where authors can download a free copy of the eBook. All authors will be offered a 40% discount on any eBook or print book order from the web shop. Both the free eBook and the author discount will be activated on My Springer. All other accepted papers will be published in a special volume of proceedings with an international standard book number (ISSN). The relevant information can be found via the following links:
- The Abstracts e-book will be made available on the day of the conference
- The ICSBE Proceedings will be published annually in March following each conference year
- The Springer nature edition of the ICSBE will be published on August following each conference year
Welcome to InnoJet, a platform organized by gap Research and Development Center (R&D) for university students and young innovators to identify critical gaps in sectors such as agriculture and food security, waste management, sustainable tourism, education, and urban mobility in Sri Lanka. Participants are invited to propose holistic, technology-driven solutions that are realistic, culturally acceptable, and aligned with the country’s sustainability goals.

This is for applying to participate in the 2024 ProSPER.Net Young Researchers’ School (YRS). This year’s YRS will be held from 16 to 22 December 2024 in Colombo and Kandy, Sri Lanka, under the theme “Building Resilience: Integrating Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Change Mitigation”.
